Russian Air Defense Successfully Shoots Down Drone in Volgograd Region

Russian air defense systems in the southern Volgograd region intercepted and neutralized a drone that attempted to attack a military site in the Gorodishchensky district. There were no casualties or damage reported. This marks the first reported drone downing in the Volgograd region since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. The region is located around 300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and hosts the Marinovka air base.
