"Putin's Naval Review: A Display of Russian Power"

Russian President Vladimir Putin reviewed a parade of warships and nuclear submarines in St Petersburg, announcing that the Russian Navy will receive 30 new ships this year. The annual Navy Day event showcased 45 ships, submarines, and other vessels, with around 3,000 navy personnel participating in a parade on land. Putin emphasized Russia's commitment to building up the strength of its Navy and implementing its national maritime policy, but made no comments on the ongoing military operation in Ukraine. Several African heads of state attended the event, following a Russia-Africa summit in St Petersburg.
