Russian President Vladimir Putin made a surprise visit to the military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don, where he was shown "new models of military equipment." Accompanied by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and the commander of military operations in Ukraine, Valery Gerasimov, Putin was introduced to what appears to be a new golf buggy. The purpose of this equipment in relation to Russia's military aims in Ukraine remains unclear. This is Putin's second visit to Rostov-on-Don in under a month, and his trips outside the Kremlin are typically conducted at night for security reasons.
