Ukraine's F-16 Training and Delivery Updates: What You Need to Know

Four Ukrainian pilots are currently undergoing F-16 training in Arizona, with additional pilots and maintainers receiving English-language training in Texas. The U.S. is aiming to provide an initial operating capability for Ukraine's F-16 program in 2024, including trained pilots, maintainers, infrastructure, spare parts, and ammunition. The training is part of a coordinated effort within the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, and Denmark is also leading training efforts for Ukrainian F-16 pilots. However, there is a need for a comprehensive approach to employing Ukraine's F-16s before they can be put into combat, including infrastructure, maintenance engineers, and other factors.
