Fatal and Injury Crashes in Dane County Highlight Road Safety Concerns

A head-on crash on I-39 near DeForest resulted in one death and five injuries, with the SUV believed to be traveling the wrong way and catching fire. The driver and passenger of the SUV were injured, with the driver arrested for OWI. A secondary crash involving a police squad car and a sedan occurred during the investigation, leading to additional injuries and arrests.
