Gay Canadian Couple's Legal Victories in Italy and the US

The couple, who had hired a photographer to capture the heartwarming image, were supported by Italian LGBTQ+ law firm Gay Lex in their legal battle. The court ordered Fratelli d'Italia to pay Barone and Nelson 10,000 Euros each for the "offensive use of their image." The couple sees this as a victory for LGBTQ+ rights and a message against hate. However, the party has appealed the decision, and the photographer, Lindsay Foster, is facing court and administrative costs for her own lawsuit against Fratelli d'Italia.
