International Outrage and Support for Russian Journalist Attacked in Chechnya

Russian journalist Yelena Milashina, who was brutally attacked in Chechnya and hospitalized with multiple injuries, has vowed to continue visiting the region despite threats from Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Milashina, known for her coverage of Chechen rights abuses, was attacked while traveling to a court hearing. The assailants claimed to be part of the same group that attacked her in 2020, which remains unresolved. Kadyrov has previously threatened Milashina, leading her to temporarily flee Russia.
