"Russian Attack Destroys Largest Power Plant in Ukraine, Leaving Thousands Without Power"

The largest power-generating plant in Ukraine’s Kyiv region, Trypilska Thermal Power Plant, was destroyed in a Russian missile attack, causing a large-scale fire and resulting in the loss of 100% of power generation across three plants operated by energy company Centrenergo. This attack follows previous destruction of another plant in the Kharkiv region and occupation of a third plant in the Donetsk region by Russian forces. Despite the destruction, there were no casualties and no immediate power cuts in the capital region.
