"Gunmen Kidnap 160 and Kill 10 in Deadly Nigerian Raids"

Suspected Boko Haram militants killed 10 people and kidnapped at least 160, including children, during a raid on Kuchi village in Niger state, Nigeria. The attackers, numbering around 300, stayed for several hours, cooking and making tea before leaving with the abductees. This is the fifth attack on Kuchi village, which has frequently suffered from kidnappings for ransom. Security forces have not yet initiated rescue operations, and no demands have been made by the kidnappers. Amnesty International criticized Nigerian authorities for failing to protect rural communities.
