Ukraine's Triumph: Defeating Russian Airforce and Drones

Ukraine has successfully shot down five Russian Su-25 warplanes and destroyed 14 helicopters on the ground using US-supplied missiles, marking a significant blow to Putin's airforce. The incidents occurred in areas of heavy ground combat, where the Su-25 relies on short-range, unguided rockets. Ukraine has been bolstering its air defense capabilities and sought assistance from the US, receiving AIM-9 Sidewinder and AIM-132 ASRAAM missiles. The recently acquired ATACMS missile systems have also enhanced Ukraine's ability to attack the Russian air force. The US delivered a limited number of long-range ballistic missiles as part of a $200 million military assistance package. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy confirmed the missiles' use on the battlefield, expressing gratitude for US military support.
