Ukraine's Successful Village Recapture Near Bakhmut

Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar backtracked on her announcement that Kyiv had retaken the village of Andriivka near Bakhmut, after troops on the ground reported ongoing fighting. Ukrainian forces have been pushing back against Russian forces in the south and east of the country since June. Malyar blamed a "communication breakdown" for the premature announcement and clarified that heavy fighting is currently underway in Andriivka, located around 14 kilometers south of Bakhmut.
