Explosions rock Kyiv during African peace delegation visit amidst ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Russian missiles rained down on Kyiv during the visit of an African peace delegation, including the presidents of South Africa, Senegal, Zambia, and the Comoros Islands. The African officials were visiting Bucha, where bodies of slaughtered civilians were found last year after Russian troops withdrew from the area. The Ukrainian air force reported that it shot down six Russian Kalibr cruise missiles, six Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missiles, and two reconnaissance drones. Two children and an elderly woman were injured, and more than 30 houses were damaged in the Kyiv region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky questioned the African leaders' decision to visit Russia and meet with Vladimir Putin on Saturday, saying that peace talks with Russia would be possible only after Moscow fully withdraws its forces from occupied Ukrainian territory.
