Global Solidarity: Thousands Rally in Paris Demanding an End to the Gaza Massacre

Thousands of people gathered in Paris for the first authorized pro-Palestinian demonstration since the Hamas attacks on Israel, expressing solidarity with Palestinians and calling for a ceasefire. The protest, organized by the "National Collective for a sustainable and just peace between Palestinians and Israelis," drew around 15,000 participants. Similar protests took place in Brussels, with around 12,000 people in attendance. French police authorized the Paris protest due to the organizers' condemnation of the Oct. 7 attacks. Protests have been authorized in other French cities following a court ruling that banned pro-Palestinian demonstrations on a case-by-case basis. French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna called for Israel to respect international law and establish a humanitarian corridor to Gaza at a peace summit in Cairo.
