"Gaza's Looming Famine Crisis: Children Starving to Death"

Human Rights Watch has reported that children in Gaza are dying from starvation-related complications as a result of Israel's use of starvation as a weapon of war, constituting a war crime. The Israeli government's deliberate blocking of aid and humanitarian assistance has led to a major acceleration of death and malnutrition, with 32 people, including 28 children, reported to have died from malnutrition and dehydration. International humanitarian law prohibits the starvation of civilians as a method of warfare, and concerned governments are urged to impose targeted sanctions and suspend arms transfers to press for access to humanitarian aid and basic services in Gaza.
