Caio Benicio, a Brazilian immigrant working as a delivery driver in Dublin, intervened in a knife attack when he saw a man stabbing a young girl. Benicio took off his helmet and struck the attacker, ending the attack that left four people injured. A GoFundMe campaign titled "Buy Caio Benicio a pint" has raised nearly $400,000 to show appreciation for his heroic act. The incident led to riots by far-right protesters, but some donors praised immigrants in their comments. Benicio, who has been living in Dublin for a year, plans to bring his wife and two children there.
