Lost puppy reunited with owner thanks to DEC ranger and hikers.

A four-month-old puppy named Wilson went missing on the Mackenzie Mountain Trail near Lake Placid while hiking with his owner, Jude Keenan. After a night in the woods, Keenan reached out to friends and strangers for help. New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Ranger Hannah O’Connor saw the Facebook post and found Wilson with a group of hikers 16 hours after he went missing. Wilson was reunited with Keenan and returned home that evening, seemingly unfazed by his time alone in the wilderness.
