"Principal Fired for Coffee Theft"

A junior high principal in Japan was fired after repeatedly pouring himself larger coffees than he paid for at a convenience store, getting caught by a clerk in December. The 59-year-old principal admitted to pouring himself extra coffee seven times throughout the year, paying for a $0.75 cup but dispensing a $1.25 coffee. He was dismissed from his job and apologized for not setting a good example for students. This incident follows a similar case in which a man in Kumamoto city was arrested for the same offense.
