"Adapting Ukrainian Teachers: Educating on the Frontline"

Teachers in Ukraine, near the frontline of the ongoing conflict with Russia, are adapting to the challenges of schooling in wartime. Despite bombed-out schools and unstable internet connections, some teachers continue to hold online classes for a handful of students. The psychological stress of the conflict has led to some students closing themselves off during virtual classes. Tens of thousands of children in areas occupied by Russian forces are pursuing their education online. Despite the difficulties, many students have shown increased interest and focus on their education. Teachers are receiving support to create a sense of safety in the classroom and help students cope with the conditions.
