India-Canada Diplomatic Spat: Jaishankar Criticizes Trudeau's Anti-India Stance

India's External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, stated that India invoked the provision of parity in Canada's diplomatic presence due to concerns over interference in Indian affairs by Canadian personnel. He also mentioned that India is likely to resume issuing visas to Canadians if there is progress in ensuring the safety of Indian diplomats in Canada. The strained ties between the two countries began after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged Indian involvement in the killing of a Khalistani separatist. Canada has already withdrawn 41 diplomats from India, and the relationship between the two countries is currently going through a difficult phase.
