Russian Reporter's Difficult Return to Moscow After Assault

Russian investigative journalist Yelena Milashina, who was severely beaten in Chechnya, is in a "difficult" condition in a Moscow hospital. Milashina, known for her coverage of rights abuses in the region, was attacked and held at gunpoint during a work trip. Her editor confirmed that her fingers were broken and that the attackers demanded access to her phone. International press freedom and rights groups have expressed concern, while the Kremlin and Chechnya's leader have called for the identification of those responsible.
