Russian Submarine Commander Assassinated While Jogging in Ukraine

Stanislav Rzhitsky, a former Russian submarine captain and mobilization officer, was shot dead while jogging in Krasnodar, Russia. Speculation has arisen that he may have been tracked through his profile on the Strava fitness app. Russian authorities have launched a murder investigation to determine the circumstances and motive behind the killing. Rzhitsky's personal details were also uploaded to a Ukrainian website that lists individuals considered enemies of Ukraine. Ukrainian media has suggested that Rzhitsky may have been in command of a submarine that carried out a missile attack on Vinnytsia, Ukraine, in July 2022. However, Rzhitsky's father claims he resigned from the Russian armed forces before the invasion of Ukraine.
