Pornhub Owner Pays $1.8 Million to Settle Sex Trafficking Probe

The parent company of Pornhub, Aylo Holdings S.A.R.L., has agreed to pay $1.8 million to the U.S. government to settle a probe into its alleged ties with a sex trafficking operation. Under the deferred prosecution agreement, Aylo will be monitored for three years and make payments to the U.S. and affected individuals. The company was accused of hosting videos and accepting payments from criminal actors who coerced young women into engaging in sexual acts without their consent. Aylo received over $100,000 from the sex trafficking operation. If Aylo breaches the terms of the agreement, it could face prosecution for engaging in unlawful monetary transactions.
