Mumbai Designer Arrested for Allegedly Offering Bribe to Amruta Fadnavis

A Mumbai-based designer has been arrested for allegedly offering a bribe of Rs 1 crore to Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, to intervene in a criminal case involving her father. The accused woman, Aniksha, is the daughter of a bookie who has allegedly evaded arrest for years. Fadnavis filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police against Aniksha and her father, alleging that the woman had tried to bribe her and also offered to give information on bookies "to help her earn money." Opposition parties have demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.
