Knife-wielding attacker injures multiple people, including children, in French Alps

Eight children and one adult were stabbed in a knife attack at a park in southern France. The suspect was arrested, but the motive is unclear. The children, as young as three years old, were on a supervised trip to Lake Annecy in the French Alps. Three of those injured are in serious condition. French President Emmanuel Macron called the attack "an attack of cowardice," and lawmakers in the French Parliament held a minute's silence in honor of the victims.
