Kerala train arson accused linked to radical preacher Zakir Naik, says investigation.

The accused in the Kozhikode train arson case, Shahrukh Saifi, is a highly radicalised person who has been constantly watching videos of controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik and others, according to the head of the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the incident. The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act was slapped on the accused on Sunday after the SIT was able to collect evidence to substantiate invoking of Section 16 (Punishment for terrorist act) of the Act in cooperation with central agencies and other state agencies.
