The investigation calls for compensation for the victims and the resignation of the current CEO, Julie Keiko Fujishima, for not taking action over the years. The report highlights Japan's lagging awareness of rape, sexual harassment, and human rights, and urges more victims to come forward. Kitagawa, who died in 2019, was never charged.
