Italian police seize 2.7 tons of cocaine hidden in banana shipment with help from trained dogs.

Italian police have seized 2.7 tons of cocaine worth over €800m ($880m) in a shipment of bananas at the port of Gioia Tauro. The drugs were discovered in refrigerated containers that had been shipped from Ecuador and were bound for Armenia. The 'Ndrangheta organized crime group, which is based in the southern Calabria region, has been linked to previous drug shipments in the area.
