Haiti Mob Burns Suspected Gang Members in Crisis.

A group of 13 suspected gang members were beaten and burned to death by a mob in Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, after being seized while police were searching their vehicle. The United Nations has reported that insecurity in the capital has reached levels similar to countries at war, with armed gangs competing to expand their territorial control. Gang violence has led to the death of nearly 70 people, including 18 women and two children, between 14 and 19 April alone, and has forced many schools and health centres to close, affecting access to goods and services. The Haitian Prime Minister has called for the deployment of an international force to help police in their fight against the criminal gangs.
