A Greek ferry captain and three crew members are facing homicide charges after a tardy passenger was pushed into the sea while trying to board the departing vessel in Piraeus. The incident, captured on video and shared on social media, sparked outrage. The crew members stopped the passenger from boarding, but when he tried again, one crew member pushed him off the ramp as the ferry was leaving, and he disappeared into the water. The crew did not attempt to help him, and the ferry continued sailing before being ordered back. The man was recovered unconscious and later pronounced dead. Greece's minister of maritime affairs called the crew's behavior "criminally and morally reprehensible" and ordered an investigation.
