Families Confront Serial Killers' Devastating Legacy in Emotional Court Testimonies

The ex-wife of French serial killer Michel Fourniret, Monique Olivier, has admitted in court to her role in luring and assisting in the murder of British student Joanna Parrish. Olivier described how Fourniret flew into a rage upon discovering Parrish had a boyfriend, leading to her rape, strangulation, and dumping of her body in a river. Olivier expressed remorse, calling their actions "monstrous" and "unforgivable." She is currently on trial for complicity in the murders of Parrish and two other victims. Fourniret, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for eight murders, including Parrish's, died in 2021 before facing trial for additional cases.
