"Death of Transgender Inmate Tiffany Scott Sparks Controversy"

Tiffany Scott, a transgender prisoner previously known as Andrew Burns, has died in HMP Grampian while serving an indefinite sentence under an order for lifelong restriction (OLR). Scott's request to transfer to a women's prison was blocked, and the 32-year-old had a history of violent incidents in prison, including attacking a nurse and exhibiting aggressive behavior. The Scottish Prison Service has reported the death to the authorities, and fatal accident inquiries will be held in due course.
