Chris Dawson Sentenced for Wife's Murder and Student Sex Abuse

Australian teacher Chris Dawson, already serving a 24-year sentence for killing his wife in the 1980s, has been sentenced to an additional year in prison for sexually abusing a 16-year-old student. The judge found that Dawson manipulated and exploited the girl, who was having trouble at home, by convincing her that their relationship was necessary and helpful. Despite intense speculation and multiple investigations, no trace of Dawson's wife has ever been found. Dawson continues to maintain his innocence, but the judge concluded that he killed his wife because he was infatuated with his student and saw no other way to be with her.
