Authorities Investigate Murder of 10-Year-Old Sara Sharif, Launch Manhunt for Father

Surrey County Council has confirmed that 10-year-old Sara Sharif, who was found dead in her family home in Woking, was known to the authorities. Surrey Police are seeking to speak with Sara's father, Urfan Sharif, his partner, and his brother, who flew to Pakistan the day before her body was discovered. The council has initiated a multi-agency review, and a local child safeguarding practice review may be undertaken. Two police teams in Pakistan are currently searching for Mr. Sharif, but there is no formal extradition treaty between the UK and Pakistan.
