Art Thief Foiled by Fake Frog Prince Painting

A museum worker at the Deutsches Museum in Munich was convicted of stealing valuable paintings and replacing them with fakes to sell the originals. The scam was discovered when an appraiser noticed a discrepancy in one of the paintings. The employee was sentenced to a commuted prison term and ordered to repay the money earned from selling the stolen artworks.
