Arrests Made in Manipur Student Killings Spark Protests and Internet Ban Extension

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested four individuals, including two women, and detained two minors in connection with the disappearance and suspected killing of two students from Imphal, Manipur. The arrests were made in the Henglep area of Churachandpur. The disappearance of the students had triggered protests in the region, which has been experiencing sectarian strife. The CBI has taken the suspects to Guwahati for further legal proceedings, while the minors have been handed over to the district child protection officer. The Chief Minister of Manipur praised the swift action and urged calm among the people.
