Andrew Tate's Bail Request Denied by Romanian Court

A Romanian court has rejected a bail request from Andrew Tate, a British-U.S. citizen and social media influencer with 5.3 million Twitter followers, who is detained in Romania on suspicion of organized crime and human trafficking. Tate, his brother, and two Romanian women were detained in December 2020, and none of them have been formally charged yet. Tate will remain in detention until at least March 29. He has previously been banned from various social media platforms for expressing misogynistic views and hate speech.
