12-year-old boy charged with murder of woman in Sheffield car crash

A 12-year-old boy appeared in Sheffield Youth Court charged with the murder of 60-year-old grandmother Marcia Grant, who died after being hit by her own car. The incident was captured on CCTV, and the boy is accused of being the driver of the car and carrying a silver-coloured kitchen knife when arrested. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was remanded into secure accommodation and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on April 11. Mrs Grant was described as a "pillar of her community" and a "beautiful soul".
