At least eight people have been killed and 13 others wounded in a Russian shelling attack on the town of Lyman in eastern Ukraine. The strike caused fires in a house, a printing shop, and three cars. This comes as Ukraine marks the 500th day of the invasion, with its counter-offensive continuing in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. Russia has been carrying out deadly missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, often hitting civilian targets. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Snake Island to mark the occasion and thanked the US for providing aid, including controversial cluster bombs.
