Russian Forced Mobilization: Ukraine's Defence Intelligence Reports 60,000 Men from Occupied Territories

Russia has forcibly mobilized between 55,000 and 60,000 men from Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories since early 2022, according to Ukraine's Defence Intelligence. The mobilization involves catching people on the street and forcibly taking them away, often promising they will serve on the second or third line of defense but sending them to the front line instead. Students from the occupied territories are also being sent to the front without proper training. The only real opportunity for survival for those mobilized is to surrender at the first opportunity.
