IDF Airstrike Eliminates Fugitive Terrorist Mastermind in Jenin

The IDF and Shin Bet forces eliminated senior Islamic Jihad terrorist Ahmed Barakat, responsible for the killing of Meir Tamari and a recent lure attack injuring seven soldiers, in an airstrike in Jenin. Barakat and another operative, Muhammad Hawashin, were behind the recent surge in terror attacks in the West Bank. The IDF has increased the use of airstrikes and ground operations to suppress terrorism in the West Bank, resulting in the arrest of 3,500 wanted individuals and the killing of about 350 terrorists since the beginning of the war.
