IDF Conducts First Raid in Jenin Refugee Camp in Months, Arrests Hamas Members

Israeli forces entered the Jenin refugee camp for the first time since a major operation in July, resulting in clashes with armed Palestinians. Three Hamas-affiliated individuals were arrested, and there were reports of Palestinians being injured. The IDF forces were attacked with gunfire and stone-throwing and returned fire. The operation was based on intelligence gathered, and the forces involved included the IDF's elite commando units. The IDF had previously allowed the Palestinian Authority to reassert control in Jenin but decided to enter the refugee camp on this occasion. Earlier, 16 Palestinian terror suspects were arrested in overnight raids in the West Bank.
