Israeli Army Fatally Shoots Palestinian Teen in West Bank

Israeli forces shot and killed 18-year-old Mahmoud Abu Sa’an during a raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem, northern West Bank. Witnesses reported that an Israeli soldier shot Abu Sa’an in the head while he was lying on the ground. Fierce confrontations broke out during the raid, with Palestinians hurling stones and opening fire at the soldiers. The Israeli military said soldiers shot at suspects who fired and hurled explosives and stones at them. This year has seen the highest number of Palestinian fatalities in the occupied West Bank since 2005, with over 200 Palestinians killed.
