Ukraine's Counteroffensive Milestone: Key Village Near Bakhmut Liberated

Ukraine has captured the town of Andriivka near Bakhmut in its ongoing counteroffensive against Russian forces. The Ukrainian fighters have been focusing on the southern front lines, and the capture of Andriivka marks a significant milestone. Russia claims to have repelled eight attacks from Ukrainian assault groups in the area. The counteroffensive has been ongoing for four months, with Ukraine aiming to break through Russia's well-fortified defenses in the annexed Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian forces have also made progress in the south of the country, aiming to retake territory down to the Russian-controlled city of Melitopol.
