Ukraine's Counter-Offensive Advances Towards Mariupol

Ukraine's summer offensive potentially captures its 10th strategically important village, Urozhaine, in the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia region. While Ukrainian military authorities have been taciturn about the operation, video evidence and pro-Russian milbloggers suggest that the village is largely under Ukrainian control. Russian forces have reportedly retreated from Urozhaine with minimal losses, but videos show them fleeing under heavy fire. Ukrainian forces have also targeted a Russian command center in the town with GPS-targeting bombs. The Institute for the Study of War has not confirmed complete Russian withdrawal from Urozhaine, and the town is located just north of the concrete fortifications of the Surovikin Line.
