The ongoing impact of the Nakba on Palestine.

Palestinians mark the Nakba every year on May 15, which refers to the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their ancestral land by Zionist militias in 1948. During this time, hundreds of villages were depopulated, homes were destroyed, and thousands were killed. Jewish Irgun, Haganah and Stern Gang militias committed a series of mass atrocities, including dozens of massacres. This article highlights five of the massacres that took place during the Nakba, including Balad al-Sheikh, Saasaa, Deir Yassin, Saliha, and Lydda.
