Noon Abdelbassit Ibrahim, a 21-year-old medical student, and her family fled Sudan to Egypt on a packed bus with friends and neighbours, including her pet pug, after her family home was hit by a missile. The escalating conflict in Sudan has caused widespread disruption to power and water networks, a shortage of food, and has resulted in the deaths of innocent lives. Noon hopes to resume her studies and qualify as a doctor, but for now, she just wants her country to return to some kind of normality.
