Russian forces seize Bakhmut center, threaten supply lines: UK intel

Russian forces have likely seized the center of Bakhmut, a hotly contested city in eastern Ukraine, threatening an essential supply route for Ukrainian forces in the west. The city has been the focus of intense fighting for months, and both sides have likely suffered major losses. The British intelligence update warned that Ukraine's key supply route to the west of the town is likely severely threatened. The Wagner Group, a Russian private military company, has around 6,000 professional personnel and 20,000 to 30,000 recruits in the area.
