The head of the Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, claimed that his troops have taken control of key military sites in Rostov-on-Don, a crucial command and logistical hub for the Russian army located just 100 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Reports suggest that the Wagner forces are moving north towards Moscow through the Voronezh Oblast region. The Russian authorities have closed the main highway running from Moscow to the south in a bid to block the advance of "Prigozhin's mutineers".
