Israel Launches Missiles on Damascus, Injuring Syrian Soldier: Reports

Israel launched an air attack on Syria's capital, Damascus, causing material damage and injuring a soldier. Syrian air defences engaged the missiles and shot down some of them. The targets of the attack were not disclosed, but a monitor said it was aimed at arms depots belonging to pro-Iran fighters. Israel has carried out hundreds of attacks against what it describes as Iran-linked targets in Syria, and has repeatedly said it will not allow Iran to extend its military influence into Syrian territory.
