Ex-US Marine wounded in West Bank shooting, attacker caught.

A US Marine veteran, David Stern, was shot and severely wounded by an unidentified Palestinian while driving with his wife in the West Bank town of Hawara in Israel. Stern returned fire on the Palestinian attacker, who was later taken into custody by Israeli Defense Forces. The attack comes as Israeli authorities attempt to keep the peace during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and negotiate with Palestinian leaders in Egypt to quell months of violence in the West Bank.
